This is an inexpensive and reasonably attractive series of wall hooks that can be used for variety of purposes. Although intended to be a Tie/Belt rack, I actually use this to hang Ikea towels and washcloths in my small guest bathroom. Ikea towels come with a small cloth "ring" so that they hang below the hook. Because of this, the bulk of the towel is not over the hook, which means they can be closer together and still work. Because my bathroom does not have a large amount of available wall space, this smaller hanger works pretty well. And, unlike the time required to hang a bunch of individual hooks, this gives me lots of hanging space with a simple, two screw, mounting. With just a level, and awl, a screwdriver and some wall anchors the job was done in less than 15 minutes. Let's get this straight, this is NOT a high quality fixture that is stylish and expensive. In the past, I've used the sticky-backed plastic hooks to accomplish the same task without the screws, etc., but when there's nothing hanging on them they look exactly like what they are - cheap plastic hooks stuck to a wall. 0 This small rack will fit in most spots, and will look like it was intended to be there. So if nothing's on it, it should fit into most decor. The bronze color shouldn't stand out in too many settings, and it will fade into the background. if it's being used, it's got enough space for belts, scarves and other lightweight items. It could handle handbags as well. I'm actually using this for both belts and some of my handbags. The shorter hooks on the ends are more widely spaced apart, and work well for some of my purses that have long shoulder straps. The middle hooks I have a couple of belts hanging from. This rack is strong enough to not just hold light weight ties, but large heavy leather purses! 0 It's really good looking too. I have it in the bronze and it's a sharp deep color. There are 12 hooks total on it, 3 on each end that are more spaced apart (for 6 total). And 6 longer hooks in the middle that are closer together. While the middle ones look like they are more meant for ties or scarfs than belts, I am using them for my belts right now and they are working great. |
